Vallie Turns 3!

Vallie and I went home from church on Sunday sick. I was so hoping she would be feeling better today for her birthday but she still wasn't feeling 100% yet. So what do you do when all your plans are shot down? Improvise! So here is our impromptu Vallie's third birthday.

This is her just waking up. You can see she has sick eyes. She ran a fever all day. I told her we could dress her up in her Tu-Tu and have a "photo shoot".

We were planning on have a snowflake party so we did some snowflake arts and crafts and hung them all over the house. We also played a couple snowflake games like match the snowflakes.

She played in her kitchen (she got for Christmas).

She opened her presents (notice the great snowflake decorations and the snowflake wrapping paper).

And of course we had cake and rainbow sherbet (Vallie's favorite). This is her last minute cake I whipped up today and called her "Suzy Snowflake" cake (I don't go out with sick kids, even to buy a cake). Painted it PINK of course. You might notice that princess is the same one which was on her cake last year but she looks like a snowflake and I didn't have much to work with. All in all she just got a lot of rest and we hope we are on the up and up tomorrow. She might not have felt 100% but she still is 100% princess and we love her so much. Happy Birthday Vallie! Morning Update: Vallie is still sick.

She is so cute, and your little photo shoot turned out good. That little kitchen that she got for Christmas is super cute. I will have to call and talk to you about all the festivities.

What a great mom you are! You did a great job improvising. Thanks so much for the comment on my blog. I was wondering if it was appropriate to talk to the coach about her fear or not. I will on Monday now for sure!

How did you get the picture of Vallie in black and white that looks like a drawing. I really like it. Mom
