Please say you are kidding!

Well Barry and I both got new callings in church this past week. Barry was released as Young Men’s President and was put as the 2nd assistant in the High Priest group leadership. He is really excited. I was called as the new Relief Society President. Needless to say, this past week has been a roller coaster. Last week I called to tell my parents and my mom just said, “Oh Tara, I am so sorry”. Mainly because she knows how much I have struggled with just keeping afloat since Brahm was born. However, I have called some incredible counselors to work with, all of which I have never worked with before. I admire each one of them in so many ways and I can’t wait to work with them so they have really given me some peace already. But I do have to say when I had TWO busy body babies sitting on my lap while I was being set apart I couldn’t help but think “This is going to be quite the journey. Are you sure this is not a joke?” I do know BR is incredible and will help just as he always does to keep things safe and peaceful on the home front. I do love Relief Society and know it is the most incredible organization for women today. We are so blessed as women and mothers to have the guidance and power Relief Society can bring into our homes. Although, I do see a few more gray hairs in my near future.

I wasn't at all surprised when I heard your name called. You are the perfect fit for that calling. I know you will feel overwhelmed at times, but will be fantastic and I'm always here to watch the kids so you can rest and relax.

Tara you will do great!!! Who are your counselors? Make sure you have a good secretary and compassionate service leader and use them. It can make all the difference.

Think positive. You guts will do great though I am not even a bit jealous. Kellee asked what I would do if that happened to us. I told her she could choose between inactivity or moving. Maybe you should consider these options. They are the only way I can think to get out of your situation.

I miss you Tara! I am sure you are super busy with your new calling, so I'm sure it will be harder for you to blog. If you get a chance though, you have a loyal reader in Syracuse. :) Hope things are going well for you.
