I just wanted to update on what has been going on this past week even though it is all random stuff and not much. Our family reunion was last weekend and we had a great time. Teresa really did a great job with everything. The kids had a blast and didn't want to leave. This is the only pictures I took cause I was busy with arts and crafts but this is Vallie with her second cousin, Malissa. Vallie is refusing to look at me hoping if she doesn't make eye contact I will not make her go home. She just loves Malissa. Thanks for swinging with Vallie for literally HOURS!
The kids have been reading non stop for the past few weeks. Honestly that is what we have been up to. I signed the kids up for the summer reading program at the library and both of them are done with it. We have found some wonderful literary treasures. I am sure you all know about The Kissing Hand since most of you are early education majors but it is so cute and if you have someone leaving for kindergarten this year, it is a must read.
As for our big boy Brahm he is now rolling over and tucking his knees up under his body when he lays on his belly. He has also lost all of his baby hair and is a little bald beauty.
Wait, did I say ALL, I meant all but this little tuft in the back. We can't go anywhere without someone commenting on his little tuft. It is okay little guy cause I am loosing all my hair too. I don't know about any of you moms but when I nurse, I can just pull out gobs of hair. I am starting to get little bald spots in the front (I will spare you the pictures though).
The other thing we have been doing is barely keeping up with our garden. We have had buckets of green beans. Here lays the source of our problem......
The healthiest green bean plants we have ever had. I guess if that is a problem. We just have more than enough for our little family. Also, we have had tons of cherry, grape and paste tomatoes but we are anxiously waiting for some of out beefsteak ones to ripen. We have quite a few bigger than a baseball but none turning yet.
Tons of green onions
Our most unhealthy looking pepper plants ever but we are getting good peppers. Nothing like the plethora of last year though. My soil is lacking something. I really need to baby them I guess. I picked our last crop of peas this week so will have to mulch them around the peppers to give them a boost of nitrogen and hope that does the trick. Also, our basil is doing good but it is already seeding and I am not sure why. Any clues dad? Anyway this was our week in a nutshell hopefully next week will be more exciting.

Hi Tara.. It's Heidi Frehner from the Ward! I saw you on Sara's buddy list and thought I would take a look. LOVE your garden! Wow, can't believe all the stuff you are growing! Your little boy is getting so big. Before I know it Chloe will be rolling over also. See you Sunday.
Your garden looks fantastic. Your week looks like lots of fun too. I wish I could see you guys more, Brahm is growing so fast!
I'm so jealous of your garden! You'll have to help me get a garden started once we're in a house!(I don't really have a green thumb:) By the way, I love the book The Kissing Hand! I can't believe little baby Brahm is already rolling over :)
Can I just say that you inspire me? What an awesome garden you have. It must be in your genes - I remember seeing all your Dad did with his backyard and it was amazing!!! Brahm is such a sweet little guy - Bekah had a tuft of hair just like him at that age. I love reading your blog!
Sounds like so much fun, your garden is doing awesome. yeah I hear ya on the Basil. I have been pulling the blossom off for weeks trying to get the plant to last longer. That is what mom told me to do, and it seems to be getting bigger. Dad told me you didn't want any Chard:) hehe. It is crazy how light Brahm's hair is now. What a cutie, I wish we could see you next week.
