Every year we do church clothes for the kids for Easter and I make Vallie an Easter dress. I didn't realize how close Easter was until after I got out of the hospital with the baby so I started on it right away. However, things around here have been so crazy that it has taken me this long to finish it. I finally finished it this afternoon since all my kids are still sick and were all sleeping at the same time. Hallelujah! So here is a picture of it. I copied the idea off of a Gymboree dress called Sundae Best that I thought was just adorable but would never pay $50 for a toddlers dress. I made it with leftover scrap fabric from her Christmas chair (I know that is a little bit Gone With the Wind) but it only cost me the zipper and I love things cheap. I hope it fits.

Tara,
Great job on the dress. It is really cute. You sure can sew. Speaking of...I had a guy here today measuring some of the windows for shutters (sunburst shutters) and while measuring the smaller windows he noticed your curtains. He asked me where I got them and really complimented them. He said that they look professionally done and that they look really expensive. He kept going on about them actually. I just thought I would pass that along. Hope all is well.

That dress is adorable. I saw that one and loved it, but I too, cannot pay $50 for a kids dress. You are so talented. I wish I had that talent and patience.
I love the dress Tara. Did all your sewing talent start way back when we had to sew beads on our costume for Pantheras? :) My mother n' law likes to buy Bekah an Easter dress each year and she always goes for the pricey ones. I, however, could never pay that much, but if she wants to then that's her thing. :) I am all about good deals. I am so impressed you could sew that dress with a new baby. I can barely function with a newborn. You are seriously so awesome!
Tara-
Hey, I'm glad that you found me. You have got such a cute little family. I am way impressed that you made that dress. I make blankets, baby slings and nursing covers, but have never attempted clothes. You have inspired me to try clothes. Way cute! Hey, Cody and I just got a auto loan from your brother-in-law Brandon Bulow in Cedar City last weekend. Way nice guy.
I LOVE the dress! Who knew you could sew?
I don't know if you get the comments on older posts (to your email), but you're so amazing!! If I only had just a tiny bit of you sewing talent I'd be happy :) I love the dress, and it's even better that it was made with the scraps. SO CUTE!
