Christmas Play

One of our highlights of the Christmas season this year was Vallie and Barry Bretton got to perform the play A Christmas Carol. They practised every Friday for about 8 weeks with the little group of homeschoolers we do things with. As you can see from the picture, there were a tons of families involved and we performed it 4 times (3 times in rest homes and 1 time at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission). It was amazing to expose my children to the lives of others around us and for them to see how fortunate they really are to have their health and a place to live. It really brought home a reason for the season. The picture above is of them singing Christmas Carols with the homeless after the play (it was a real tear jerker).
Vallie got to play the role of a Caroller and sing "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman". Here she is with her fellow carollers.

Barry Bretton had the role of person #3. He had two little lines that he got to say and the others in the picture were the children in the scene with him. I was able to be over the choreography for the dance scene. It was a huge success and we can't wait to be a part of it next year.
