So it is almost Easter and I always make Vallie an Easter dress. This is one of those years that I am glad I only have one little girl so there is only ONE Easter dress to sew (due to time of course). With that in mind and having no idea of what to make I ran to the fabric store to feel some inspiration. I ran into this oh so yummy cherry fabric and had to scope it up. Now I have to confess because I totally cheated this year. You see this delicious fabric was already smocked and the dress took me all of 20 minutes to do (that is why it was so yummy). After finishing it, I feel completely guilty cause I know I cheated. In order to make myself feel a little better I made her a matching pair of shoes like somehow that would fix the dress. So here is Vallie's "Not So Typical Vallie" Easter Dress and matching Ballet Slippers.

You should feel very proud! I will NEVER be able to say that I "made" my girls an Easter dress AND shoes!!
You did a good job! SO CUTE! Can't wait to see it on her Sunday:-)
That is so cute! I can't wait to see it in person. How in the world do you make shoes?
You are too crafty....I only wish I had half of the skills you have! I absolutely LOVE that cute little dress and shoes! Vallie is going to look so cute! Madi's lucky I actually made it to the store this year to buy her one! LOL!
Can I hire you? I look and look and look and look and look forever for Easter dresses and it is soooo difficult. Now obviously I have already bought their dresses this year, and I sew (not like you though) WOW ballet slippers. That is sooo cool! but when do you find the time or rather when do your children allow you to do such fine work! I am soooo jealous! I can't wait to see that on Vallie!
So cute! Everyone at our house is extremely jealous.
wow, I am impressed. I hope to be able to some day so stuff like this. It is adorable! did you come up with your own pattern for the Shoes? They are sweet.
No need to feel guilty. I wish I could just do what you did. I think it's cute no matter how you got to it :) And shoes? How did you make shoes? :)
Tara, those are absolutely darling! I want the shoe pattern...you are so talented.
I showed this to my mom and she wants to know how you did those shoes! Tara - you never cease to amaze me!
