Calling all T-birds

I have to do a shout out to my Flippin' Birds at SUU today. I am not sure if many of you know but I was the assistiant gymnastic coach at SUU for 3 years before I "retired" at the ripe age of 23 so I could be a stay at home mom. I was their beam and floor coach. I miss gymnastics a ton so Barry and I follow my T-birds faithfully every year. SUU gymnastics always finishes in the top 30 in the Nation every year which is huge for this "little" school since they compete against schools like UCLA, U. of Utah, Georgia, and Stanford. But today they made school history. One of their gymnast finished 6th in the NCAA on beam and was named an All-American. Coach Bauman said the crowd really got behind her cause she was an underdog coming from such a little program. I just had to share my excitement and hope this slingshots SUU's gymnastics program to new heights. Also, if you happen to be a Level 10/Elite Gymnast and are reading this, look into SUU. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Go SUU!!! I'll tell my bro-in-law that he needs to check out the gymnasts while he is there.

That is so cool!!! Makes me proud to be an SUU graduate. :) I bet you were such a good coach Tara. Are you going to have Vallie get into gymnastics? Bekah did tumbling for a couple of months, but then she wanted a break. Now she's saying she wants to take dance again, so maybe we'll try that again next year. It's hard knowing what to put your kids in, and how much to have them do, you know? Oh, and that makes me laugh that they are called the flippin' birds.:)
