Look who's one!

Brahm turned one!
We celebrated Brahm turning one today. All of his Grandma's and Grandpa's came down for the occasion and Marcee came over too. We didn't do much but it was just nice to have them here for the day and spend it as a family. Daddy cooked his special dutch oven dinner which was delicious.
We played with balloons and opened presents which may I add Brahm was not too much into but he sure had four eager helpers (2 siblings and 2 cousins) who were willing to lend a hand. They got the task done in no time.

After lunch and presents this little man needed a nap so I put him down for bed and he had cake when he woke up.

He loved playing in the cake.

Here are a few things you may not know about this little man.

He LOVES balls! I mean, he will sit and throw a ball back and forth to you an hour or longer. Really, as long as you will play with him he will throw it back. He always has a ball in his hand and I even keep a spare on in the diaper bag for "those" moments when we are out.

He is a huge mama's boy and will hardly let anyone else hold him, EVER! Actually him and I are pretty much adjoined at the hip.

He adores his brother and sister. He is usually the first one of the kids awake in the house. After I get him up and situated, he thinks everyone needs to join in on the fun. He will sit and yell "brother" (what he calls Barry Bretton) as loud a possible trying to wake everyone in the house up until he is successful.

He still has to ride backwards in a baby car seat even though he is one and mostly likely have to ride backwards for a long time. He won't gain weight and hasn't for about 6 months now. I wish I had this a problem however it is terrible for a baby. Dr's have yet to figure out what the problem is. We have managed to keep him out of the hospital and hope it doesn't come to that.

Other things he likes are wearing hats, talking on the telephone (he freaks out if I am on the phone and he doesn't get to talk), and dancing to music.

This year has just flown by filled with joy, love, tear, and trials but we wouldn't have it any other way. It is amazing what a third baby brings to mix just when you think you have things figured out. We are thankful he is in our home and know he is someone truly special.

He is so cute with the birthday cake all over his face! I am sorry to hear that he hasn't been gaining weight. I hope that the doctors are able to figure it out and put your mind at ease. He is a darling little boy. He is blessed to have you as his mother.

Tara, You need to join facebook. There are all kinds of old Pantheras on it, including Sheri. Raelee has been putting old pictures on and they are so funny. John set me up on it a couple of months ago. Give it a try! :)
