Today's the BIG day!

Today is the big day. You might think I am talking about the inaguration of the new President but no, not even close. I have been counting this day down for about two years now but never had guts enough to do it. Finally today I just had to hold my breath and do it. Any guesses? Here is a clue!

Yep, I chopped all my hair off and donated it to "Locks of Love". I didn't think I would have a hard time (it just hair right) but it was hard getting to this point. I have always wanted to do it plus my hair grows back unlike all the little ones they make the hair pieces for. So here it is

18 inches later!

My families reactions:
Barry Bretton: Started to cry, yes, real tears, "When is it going to grow back mommy."

Vallie: "I love it. You look beautiful. Its short just like Me and Heather!"
Brahm: He just grabbed at time.
Barry Ryan: "That's how I married you!"

Believe me I know! Change is fun though! Now you can just grow it back for three years and then cut it again! You look great!

I LOOOOVE IT!!!! And you have such beautiful color too! (that's your natural color right?) I'm so excited for you that you have a new look. I always love short hair on people. Woohooo! So do you think you'll keep it short for a while now?

That's amazing! I can't believe you really went through with it, but you look just as beautiful with short hair as you did with long. Lucky!!! And what a special gift you just gave to someone. You deserve a big THANK YOU!

It looks great Tara and wow, 18 inches! I love your hair both ways. Poor Barry Bretton, is he doing better now?

You look absolutely stunning. I was hesitant for you and thought you decided against it. I hope you are loving it because I am sure someone out there is going to be very grateful that you did.

That is how I remember you. That change would be drastic and I think a little difficult for me too. I love that you were able to donate it to locks of love. My daughter is growing hers out so she can do that. I just don't know if she will actually cut it. You look great!
