For Valentines day Barry and I always give the kids sugar cookies and another fun surprise. Here is Brahm enjoying his first Valentine Cookie for breakfast may I add (if you look closely there is a sneak peak of our tile but I don't have the room finished yet).
This year we gave Barry Bretton this super cool Indian Jones guy I found on clearance at Target after Christmas. I have been so excited to give it to him because I thought he would love it. He loved the ride at Disneyland and also Barry Ryan loved to play with GI Joe's when he was his age so I thought he would really dig it (archaeologist pun). So when he came downstairs and saw it he said "What!?!? Is this a doll?" all disgusted because after all he is a boy (as if he doesn't play dolls with Vallie all the time). Quickly thinking I said, "Of course not it is an ACTION FIGURE." He replied, "Oh, okay." Let me tell you, he has not put that doll down. He even tried to convince me it was okay to take it to church with him today. If it wasn't for the whip action sound and working whip maybe I would have thought about it. I am sure the people around us would have loved that:) Barry Ryan and I have even had a discussion about dolls/action figures. Aren't action figures basically dolls for boys? BR seems to tell me they are TOTALLY different.

As you know I subbed his class today and he was very excited to tell me about Valentines Day and his Archeologist guy! I couldn't really understand what he said but now that you said it the way you did I think he actually said "Archeologist" action figure. LOL! I caught action figure but whatever he had said before I was thinking it was some "boy" toy I had not heard of before. LOL! A DOLL! LOL! That is really funny. Good save by the way. Natali would love for him to come over with his Indiana Jones and play with it in her doll house. LOL!
Mmmmm....a sugar cookie for breakfast! My kind of breakfast (or lunch or dinner). I love the action figure story. John used to play with GI Joes too. One day when we get together, John and BR can reminisce together. :)
That's pretty funny! I'm going to have to use the "action figure" line with Luke eventually I'm sure! Too Cute!
