Well I have to say most of this week was dedicated to holding Brahm and getting ready for my church class I was teaching. I know, way to exciting. So to elaborate, Brahm was really fussy this week. I am not sure why, my mom seems to think it was because of the wind. She swears the wind makes babies fussy and I am about ready to believe it. Even though I have not gone out in it, she says they sense it. He would only sleep if I (and I mean I and only I) was holding him, which was quite the adventure, so I have gotten little to nothing done. However, Brahm was just fine today which has been the first day the wind has not been crazy so go figure. Hopefully we are on the up and up.
My class went very well and am glad that it is over. It was on how to cook meals for your family in an emergency situation if you had no conventional ways of preparing things. I love to learn about things like this and I guess that is why I am called to it but there were only a few people there. But we had fun and a good meal.
So with this week behind me and the weekend under way, I wanted to blog about a few of my favorite things (PS-some were really handy this week):
First Up, my baby sling. I don't know how any mother of more than one child survives without one. Although this cheesy picture was taken weeks ago it is the only one I have of it. I love this style of sling, I made it myself with fabric that has all my favorite colors in it and best of all it has paisleys in it. I love Paisleys. Obviously my sling was very handy this week.
Next up, Food Storage. I am a fanatic about food storage. Actually there are few things I don't have a year supply of from food to kids clothes. I am one of those people that try to be prepared for everything. Food Storage came in handy this week cause who wants to go to the store when he weather is terrible and you have a fussy baby, Right?
Next, Peanut Butter. Call me crazy but I love peanut butter and would rather have it any day over chocolate. Barry thinks I am NUTS but it is great with fruit, veggies, crackers, you name it...I can't believe that people could be allergic to peanuts. They are so deprived.
Finally, Barry Ryan. He is always so great but this week it was so nice to have him there to talk to me about normal everyday things. This really helped my frantic self to calm down after a day and into the wee hours of the night with a crying baby. I don't know how you guys are but when my babies just cry, my mind is just mush by the end of the day. Thanks Love.

Tara, This was such a fun post to read. I love the picture of you. It is not cheezy, it is cute. What a cool sling. I do not have a sling, so I should probably think about getting one for this baby. Is your food storage calling for your ward or stake? I totally would have been at your class. If you ever have any handouts you can email, you'll have to email me some. I am so impressed with you and all your awesome homemaking skills!!! I too like peanut butter, although John and my mom like it even more, but they especially like it with chocolate. Ok - this is getting a little long and I still feel like I have more to comment about, but I better end it soon. I hope Brahm does better this next week. By the way, whenever I go to Vegas, it always seems windy.
That sling is cool. I wish I had one when Lincoln was a baby. All he ever did was cry! I love Peanut butter too especially with chocolate! Thanks for sharing!
I love the sling too. It has been so windy here lately...what is the deal!!! I am so sorry to hear about Brahm...I hope you are managing getting "some" sleep...take care and get some rest!
I'm so sorry you had a rough week. I'm definitly not looking forward to weeks of a cranky baby, but the rest of it I am. I love your sling too. Sorry I couldn't go to the class, but I heard it was great.
Tara, I love your baby sling! I'm definitely going to need one with my next baby! That is so good that you keep up with your food storage. I need to be better at that.
