I wanted to share my appreciation to all of you mothers. Motherhood is one of those jobs that seems to get little respect or acknowledgment yet it is the most important job in mortality. I am grateful to my mother. If awards were given out for mothers, I would nominate her for the highest honor possible. Paraphrasing Abraham Lincoln, everything I am today I owe to my mother. I also owe it to my beautiful wife. I could not have asked for a better wife or mother. She deserves much better then me. I am however grateful that she settled. Many of you don't know about Tara's accomplishments prior to our children. She has the Midas touch. She was one of the youngest NCAA Assistant Gymnastics coaches in the nation. Many of the girls she coached in her first couple of years were older then her. She had the opportunity to be more successful in a career then I will ever have the opportunity to be. Yet when it came time to have Barry Bretton she recognized that her role in the home would be much more important then anything else she could do. I am grateful for her realization. I recognize the greatness in our children because of her. I will be eternally grateful for her righteous decision to give up the successes and luxuries of the world to raise our children. For this reason, I have hijacked her blog to let her know on the special day for Mothers. Happy Mother's Day! I Love You! BR
