Sunday clothes

We have had a bout of sickness in the Bulow household so today is the first day I got all the children dressed in their Easter clothes. Don't they look beautiful!
Anyhow, I have a story about last Sunday. I stayed home from church with some of the kids, sick. Since it was the sabbath day and I still wanted the children to get something out of it, I decided to download the songs the children are learning in primary so we could listen to them while we lay around. No biggy cause you can just download them from lsd.org. Then his thought occurred to me, If I burn these onto a CD we can listen to them in the car or wherever. Great! Well any of you that know me really well know I am technology illiterate (really, I use to never use the Internet) which I am just fine with because Barry really covers that area in our household. I thought how hard could it really be. I am sure people with really low intellectual levels do it all the time. So I was determined to figure it out for myself. So I read through the help section of the burner to try to figure it out. Now I have a very short fuse for computers and things usually end in me slamming the mouse down and growling frustrated at the computer because the thing won't work. That is when Barry usually takes over and all is well.
Since it was Sunday and I am a church widow on Sunday's that was not an option. It wasn't all pretty and I had Barry Bretton in the background exclaiming every couple of minutes, "Will you just call Dad!" but I have to say I did it without Barry's help. I was so excited. I couldn't wait until he got home so I could show him what I had done. This was really something. I could be peaking on a whole new world of intelligence here. So when he got home I told him and I will quote what he said, "Welcome to the 1990's, babe!" Really! Have some people really known how to do this for almost 20 years? Needless to say, I am really proud of my accomplishment and I might just burn myself another CD.

Funny story! I know how to download to an MP3 but I don't think I could burn a disk. The kids do look beautiful! I'm glad everyone's better now!

I think you are awesome Tara! I have never burnt a disk and don't even know where to go look to read the help directions.

Bravo....you're like me and my TV stuff, if daddy's not home, and it doesn't do exactly what I want the first time, then the boys can't watch a movie or whatever I'm trying to get it to do. Good job for figuring it out... By the way the Primary gives out burned CD's of the music the kids need to know, I don't think they've done it yet, but at least you'll get one more that you won't have to burn yourself!

You are not as bad as you think with technology. You did a wonderful job on burning the CD. Even though I said a snide remark, I was still very proud of your CD burning accomplishment. Next up is burning a DVD. (It is the same process different type of disk) I Love You Babe!

Tara, If everyone were as talented as you, we would be the city of Enoch. Way to go on the CD, but realize that in reality no one holds a candle to you!!

I am on the computer everyday and I still always ask Billy to do any burning or anything like that so you are a step ahead of me already!

PS. What a good looking bunch of kiddos!! :)
