I know it is a whole week early but our church's trunk or treat was tonight and since we don't let our kids go door to door down here it was like our Halloween. I love Halloween to be able to dress up the kids but hate it for everything else. I completely try to stay out of the stores cause of all the creepy things around. There is not a night that if I go shopping my kids don't wake up with nightmares. It is not worth the trip to stay up all night with scared kids. Anyhow, this is what Halloween is all about at the Bulow house hold.
We did a Spanish theme this year, Ole! Barry Bretton is a Matador, Vallie a Flamenco Dancer, and Brahm a Goat (AKA bull). I made Barry Bretton and Vallie's costumes but borrowed the goat from my sister, Marcee.
Barry Bretton thought it was cool to be a bull fighter. I think next year he might be into all the superhero stuff, sigh. So this might be the last year I can pull a theme off.

Vallie cracks me up with her dancing. We have been practising being a Flamenco dancer and I tell you the girl can spin for hours, literally. She just spins and spins and spins in circles and what is really crazy is that it doesn't make her sick.

We will pretend he is a bull just for the theme sake. Really I am surprised I got two costumes done this year. There is no way I would have gotten all three done. Plus, I think the goat is just too cute to resist. Brahm is so sad here. He has been under the weather since Wednesday night. I hope tomorrow he can finally break this thing.

So cute! It's amazing how you make time to sew costumes with all you've got going on! Happy Halloween!
How cute, I wish my kids would let me pick a theme. I got to hand it to you with the costumes, I can't even sew.
Their costumes were soooo cute! I really loved them. Plus I never would have thought of them. You have great ideas. Trunk-or-Treat was really fun. :)
oooh tara.....you know you walk on water in my book....always have always will. That is too cute!
They are so cute! I love trunk or treats. It is so fun that you do a theme. There is no way my older kids would go for that. They get way set on what they are goin to be and there really is no way of changing their minds. I hope they all had a great time.
Wow - those costumes are awesome! I especially love the flamenco dancer. They put my Wal-mart costumes (bought last year on clearance) to shame! :) I really should put more thought into it. Our trunk or treat is tomorrow night. Take care!
Your costumes turned out so cute...I'm so jealous of your sewing skills:) I loved the theme, too! Too Cute!
