Ballet Recital

Vallie had her first ballet recital. Which also means I had my first recital. It was tons of fun for the girls to perform, get costumes, and have their pictures done (which I don't have back yet). Here are all my students backstage right before the recital started. I have 36 students in all but a few were missing in the photo. It was tons of work only because I did everything (costumes, editing music, choreography, rehearsals, and scheduling) but it was totally worth it and will do it again yearly. This year there were 8 dances. Vallie was able to dance in two: Devil in Disquise (the one with the angel wings) and Mr. Sandman (the little ones with the black hats). She had a quick change.
Stretching backstage before the recital started.
Grandma and Grandpa Bulow got to come for the event to show their support.
My boys were the ushers. So cute.
Grandpa Great Waite was staying with us so he also got to attend. He also did all of Vallie's stage make-up for the dress rehearsals, pictures, and the performance (he use to do women's hair and make-up before he retired years ago). So that was a special treat.

Tara,
Wow! The dancers all look great in their costumes! I am sure you had everything perfect. If I lived closer, I would have Lizzie and Bekah taking from you in a heartbeat. Vallie is adorable!
