Check out Barry Bretton's new look. Doesn't he look dreamy!

We took the kids to what I thought would be a routine check up to the opthamologist only to find out Barry Bretton is near sighted and needs glasses. He is really excited about them and even got to picked out his glasses himself. Now he thinks he is just like Jack (His favorite character from The Magic Tree House series books. He even has the troublesome little sister:). He is finding great joy in truly seeing. You know how after the fact you connect the dots with things. BR and I have been doing this and wondering why we didn't pick up on it earlier (but to our defense his last eye appointment was normal). Such as, we would point out things to see while driving in the car and he could never spot them. We just assumed he was not looking in the right spot or how Vallie would always kill him playing Slug Bug. I just figured he was always reading in the back seat (which most of the time he is). He was so amazed he read every street sign on the way home from picking his glasses up today. He couldn't believe it! Seeing is such a gift.

Oh he looks so handsome! (I did the same thing on the way home getting my first glasses, my sister and I were amazed we could see the leaves on the trees instead of just green blobs.) The glasses look great on him!
That's awesome! He looks great! Isn't it amazing what we appreciate once we have another perspective?
what a stud! I love the deep in thought pose and he looks very handsome in his new glasses.
He does look very GQ! :)
He looks great! He is growing up so fast! I am sure my kids will need glasses eventually too since John and I both had them by 6th grade. Oh, and the stuff you did for St. Patrick's Day was so fun! You are such a fun mom!
