Christmas

I know I am a few week behind but I am posting about Christmas anyway. Christmas was great besides the fact I told Barry back in October if we were still in this house at Christmas time (which I thought there was no possible way we would still be here) I was not putting a tree up. Of course, I couldn't resist putting a tree up. What is Christmas without a tree and it was one of the best ever. The kids in their new Christmas PJ's. They were so excited they wanted to go to bed at 6:30.Santa brought the usual stockings full of candy, oranges and of course socks.A microphone for Vallie (which she rocks her little heart out to Taylor Swift)

A science kit for Barry Bretton (which if your kid loves legos and putting things together this thing is perfect. It is like SUPER LEGOS with electronic wires you can connect to make things like cranes, bridges, automobiles work static or mechanically. This company also make a pneumatic set for little older kids.)
and a Basketball hoop for the ball boy, Brahm.

He brought me a steam mop which I am loving with all the tile in this house and Barry a new temple bag.

Our talented grandparents made the kids the nicest gifts this year. Grandma Bulow made each of the children quilts with their names embroidered on them.

Grandpa Christensen made Barry Bretton and Brahm each a horse to ride and shotgun to shoot.

Even BR had to get in on the horse riding action.

Grandpa Christensen made Vallie a bed for her dolls which you can see all her cats taking a little nap on right behind her.

Grandpa Bulow made this little train for Brahm.

Our children have some of the most loving and talented Grandparents in the whole world. I know all these gift took so much love and effort to make and they will be cherished for many years to come.

Other things they got were church clothes, church shoes, legos, car ramps, a flashlight (Vallie hates the dark), and scripture cases.

With all the Christmas unwrapping to do, all Brahm wanted was to eat Mama's homemade orange rolls (a man after my own heart). I think he ate three straight before wanting to open anything. That will put some weight on this kid:) We also had the missionaries and a family Barry and I home teach over for Christmas dinner that night. We really had a great day!

Loved reading about your Christmas...spoiled too...I didn't get an official steam "mop" per se but definitely a steamer (with a mop attatchment) can't wait to use it(I haven't yet) the homemade gifts always make the best ones...those are some awesome quilts, doll bed and train and horses...talented is right!

So glad Barry got his science kit. He was so cute talking about it in class. That kid is adorable! When you move, can you leave him with us?! :)

Looks like you had a great Christmas! Those kids are so CUTE! Speaking of moving, any plans for a date? Are you waiting for a closing? I've heard those are taking for ever lately.

Those orange rolls look so good - what I would give for one of those right now. :) What a fun Christmas! I am laughing at the picture of BR on the horse. No wonder him and John get along!

I love all the handmade gifts your kids got! I need more details on the mop you got - what brand, does it help clean the grout, etc. I need something so bad for our tile floors!

I am not sure where you're at with the whole house situation, but hang in there! This too shall pass!

Oh, and I published all of my recent blog posts on the same day, so you really hadn't missed any. I had started several of them but just couldn't get around to finishing them.

Hope you're having a good week!
