For all of you children's literature lovers, I think the Fancy Nancy books are just fabulous. I also think Jane O'Connor has a bug in my house to watch Vallie in order to come up with her next book. Vallie is so fancy (truly I have no idea where she gets that from:).
Anyhow, I have been trying to get my Christmas shopping done and almost have my children done except for Vallie. I ask Vallie what she wants for Christmas and it is always some crazy thing that doesn't exist. For instance this morning I asked her what she wants for Christmas this year and she replies, "A magic tomato that can turn into either a wand, a glove, or a trophy." Honestly, come on now! How about a doll or a Barbie? So I was wondering, do any of you mothers of sassy girls have some great gift suggestions for a fancy, imaginative almost 4 year old.
Doesn't her outfit today just speak for itself. Those pink cowboy boots are hand me downs that I basically have to pry off her (at least today they match).
House Update: Today marks the 3 month mark for the seller's accepting our offer and still no news from the bank:)

Welcome to parenting a female! She is such a doll! Does she like dolls and Barbie? Shalee is addicted to Cabbage Patch! Brittany liked anything princessy, dress ups, etc. Ashleigh liked dolls and books like Junie B Jones. Nana liked dolls and kitchens. I don't know if that helps at all.
I love the Fancy Nancy books, too! They're marvelous:)LOL. Vallie is so cute! Madi's favorite things are dress up clothes (sometimes after Halloween you can score some good dress up clothes!), play kitchen stuff, and any kind of barbies! I think girls are so much fun to shop for...there's so many cute things:)
What a cutie! I haven't even thought about Christmas, but now I will! One thing I made for Kayla when she was that age was this: buy several different size or shape planters or vases (1-4)and put foam in the bottom. Then get a great assortment of fake flowers that she can arrange in the vases or planters. Then she can take them out and do it again! I had a box to keep them all in so clean up was easy. This was a big hit with Kayla and her friends. You could even get a little watering can to pretend watering them.
I don't have any great ideas, but I do know I love the toy aisles at Coscto. They are always fun to walk down.
I don't have any "fancy" ideas. But, I am making a play kitchen out of an old piece of furniture I found on the side of the road. I saw some cute tutorials on some blogs. And then am making felt play food. Have you seen any pictures of the felt food online?....cute and sooo easy.
